William F. Dunn Director

William F. Dunn is a graduate of Ottawa Township High School and a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science. William is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and a Certified Cremationist. He is a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, National Funeral Directors Association, Illinois Funeral Directors Association and the Cremation Association of North America. He and his wife Pat have lived in Oswego since Bill was honorably discharged from the U S Army in 1968. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Patricia A. Dunn Certified Pre-Planning Consultant

Patricia A. (Pearce) Dunn is a 1964 graduate of East Aurora High School and attended Eastern Illinois University.  She is a Certified Pre-planning Consultant and a Certified Cremationist.  She is a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, and Oswego American Legion Auxiliary.  Pat and her husband Bill raised their 3 children in Oswego and have both been active in the community since 1968.  She enjoys traveling, Stamping/Scrapbooking, knitting, reading and most of all her 7 grandchildren.

Tamara A. Dunn-Svatek Chief Operating Officer

Tamara A. Dunn-Svatek is a 1993 graduate of Aurora Central Catholic High School, attended Waubonsee Community College and has grown up in the funeral home business.  She has been the Administrative Assistant since 2002 and the Chief Operating Officer since 2015 and is well versed in all aspects of the business.  She is also a Certified Cremationist.  She lives in Sheridan with her husband Mark and their three children, Miranda, Garrett and MacKenzie.

Paul Jonassen Director - Retired

Paul Jonassen a lifelong resident of LaSalle & Kendall Counties was a 1971 graduate of Serena High School and the a 1974 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary and has worked continually in LaSalle & Kendall Counties as a funeral director & embalmer. Since February 1990 he has been the director for the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Homes Ltd. In Newark & Sheridan. He has been married 28 years to Aimee and has one son, Jonathan. He is a member of the Newark Lutheran Church, Serena Lions Club, National Funeral Directors Association, Illinois Funeral Directors Association, American Society of Embalmers, Ottawa Occidental Lodge #40 AF & AM. and the York Rite.

Maradee B. Scharf Senior Director

 
 
Maradee has served as a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2013 and became a valued member of our staff in 2012.  
She holds an AS from Worsham College of Mortuary Science, class of 2011.  Maradee is a 1998 graduate of West Aurora High School, 2001 
 
graduate of Waubonsee Community College with an AA and a BS in Biology from Aurora University, class of 2003.
 
In her free time, Maradee enjoys working on her LEGO town, reading, cooking being with family and friends.  
She is a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Aurora, IL.  She is a world traveler, having made several trips to explore Europe.  
Her favorite travel spot being Baden-Baden, Germany.

David A. Garbacz, is a 1980 graduate of Bremen Community High School, 1982 graduate of Thornton Community College with a degree in Business Management and a 1984 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science.
 
David is a resident of Shorewood and has worked in many funeral homes in Cook, Will and Lake County Indiana.
 
David enjoys cooking, making Chocolate Creations, traveling, and spending time with his spouse and his two children.

Dejah Anjanette Director

Dejah Anjanette graduated from Downers Grove South High School in 2011. She attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science class 2021. She is a member of the National Morticians Fraternity Pi Sigma Eta, is a licensed cosmetologist and certified cremationist.

Dejah resides in Naperville, loves her cats and bearded dragon. She enjoys cooking, rainy days and traveling to new places. She is a horror movie fanatic and enjoys a good crime podcast.

Terrance Ziemann Student

Terrance is a 1994 graduate of Kankakee High School.  He is a current student of Worsham College of Mortuary Science.  He is also a licensed Crematory operator, Notary Public and Certified Celebrant.

He resides in Oswego with his spouse.

He is a former theatrical performer of dance and vocals.  He enjoys maintaining his garden, spending time with his spouse, family and friends and taking care of his puppy DeeDee.

Kaitlyn Shelley is a 2021 graduate of Oswego High School and a 2023 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science. She has a Associate of Science degree and is a certified cremationist.
 
As a longtime resident of Montgomery Kaitlyn is passionate about helping her community. When Kaitlyn is not spending time with her family or friends she is enjoying video games, horror movies, or a good book. As a lover of animals she has two dogs, two snakes, and two freshwater fish tanks.
