William D Wheeler, age 79, of Yorkville, IL died Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born November 17, 1941, the son of the late Edward and Mildred nee Johnson Wheeler. Bill was a very involved member of the AuSable Grove Presbyterian Church in Yorkville, IL. He was a member of the Class of 1959 of Oswego Community High School. He was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling at Idle Hour Lane, Sandwich IL and Yorkville Lanes, Yorkville, IL where he bowled a 300 game. Prior to his retirement in 2014 he was employed as a maintenance electrician at Caterpillar Tractor Company in Aurora, IL (Third Shift) for 40+ years. Bill is survived by a brother Seth Wheeler and brother-in-law Larry Kirk, Sr, also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Jackie Kirk, brother Kenneth Wheeler and nephew Larry Kirk, Jr. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
