William R. Robbins October 9, 1961 - July 27, 2015 William R. Robbins, 53, of rural Sheridan passed Monday, July 27, 2015 at the University of Chicago Medical Center after a long and hard fought illness. William was born the seventh of nine children, in Aurora to James & Wilma (Swords) Robbins. He was united in marriage November 20, 1984 to Marilyn (Thomas) in Aurora and they spent 30 happy years together. Born to them were two beautiful children and were later blessed with two grandchildren they dearly adored. He is survived by his wife Marilyn; his son Seth Robbins of Sheridan; his daughter, Sara LeMaster of Somerset, KY; two grandchildren, Jenna LeMaster, Eric Robbins; three sisters, Martha (Fred) Paugles of Montgomery, Anita (Charles) Granter of North Aurora, Becky (Scott) Thomas of Kilgore, TX; three brothers, James (Katherine) Robbins of Millington, Donald (Teresa) Robbins of Newark; Tim (Sheila) Robbins of Yorkville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Billy Robbins and a sister Sue Robbins-O'Connell. Visitation will be held Friday, July 31st from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a service at 7:00 p.m. at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. In Sheridan. His brother in-law, Pastor Mike Thomas will officiate. A graveside committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Millington-Newark Cemetery
