William A. Richards 88 died December 13, 2022, peacefully at Rush Copley Hospital due to COVID complications.

Bill was born May 4, 1934, in Streator, IL to William and Ione Leese Richards. He was a conductor for BN RR for 37 years, and an avid camper, having traveled and camped with an Airstream group for over 50 years. He was a pilot, and owner of farms in Streator, IL, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Bill and Penny raised Arabian horses for 30 years.

Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife Priscilla (Penny) Greene Richards of 61 years, sons Allan and Greg (Shari), and grandson Jeremy.

Family and friends can meet at the information center at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 West Hoff Road Elwood, IL at 1:45 P.M. on December 20, 2022, Committal Service 2:00 P.M. with Military honors under the auspices of the United States Army and the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Squad. Dr. D. Timothy Nordstrom, officiating. A luncheon will be hosted by the family following services.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions would be made to the Learning Disabilities Association of Illinois.
