William J. Oleferchik, age 85 of Oswego, IL at rest December 27, 2022, at home.
He was born January 6, 1937, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late William and Marion nee Ferdyna Oleferchik.
William proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1958.
William is survived by his daughter Frances P. (John) Lundin, son William J. (Marietta) Oleferchik; grandchildren Dana (Jason) Silver, Jaimie (Ross) Wegman, Michael (Briar) Oleferchik, Connor Oleferchik, Branden and Ryan Budzyn, Lauren Oleferchik; great grandchildren Sonny and Lena Wegman; siblings Leonard (Carol), Donna (Jim) Mancini, Ray (Andrea), Tom, Dorie Richardson, Sandy (Dave) Ondrla; cousin Michael (Carol) Scholl; cousin-in-law Pam Scholl and his significant other Cindy Brodzinski.
Preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie F. (2010) and daughter Michelle P. Budzyn (2021) and cousin Fred Scholl (2020).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road P.O. Box 665 Oswego, Il. 60543.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at St. Anne Catholic Church 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, Illinois 60543, where full military honors will be held at the conclusion of the mass under the auspices of the United States Air Force. Interment will follow at Pearce Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials in his name to Mooseheart Charities 155 S. International Drive Mooseheart, IL 60539.
