Wayne Thomas Miller, 91, of Aurora IL, passed away on April 29, 2022 due to complications from dementia. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Carol (Tebell) Miller, their 4 children (and their spouses): Dean (Nickie), John (Candy), Eric (Jenny) and Jane, 7 grandchildren: Ann, Amy, Robert, Rebecca, McKenzie, John and Wyatt and 4 great-grandchildren: Oliver, Miguel, Edgar, and Emilio. He is also survived by his brothers Ron and Don and sister Carole Anne. Wayne was a railroad man, spending the majority of his career at Burlington Northern Railroad in Chicago. His work also took him to Memphis, TN and Overland Park, KS. He spent his retirement years in Kimberling City, MO, where his family enjoyed countless summers on his boat on Table Rock Lake or playing a fiercely competitive game of cards. Wayne was a practical joker with a bit of a sweet tooth; your ice cream was never safe when he was within arm's reach. He was driven by an unwavering faith in God and deep commitment to his family, who will miss him dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service at St. Paul Lutheran Church 85 S Constitution Drive, Aurora IL on Wednesday May 4, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.
