Walter Milton Yesia, age 82, of Oswego, IL died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 24, 1933 in Richey, IL the son of the late Milton James and Lillian Gertrude nee Harding Yesia.
Walter served his country honorably with the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He had worked for AT&T for 32 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Posts in Oswego and Bloomington, IL. He enjoyed woodcarving, ceramics, guitar music, collecting John Wayne movies and Lewis Lamare books.
Walter is survived by his wife, Betty nee Cablk, whom he went to grade school with and married on September 18, 1954 in Chicago, IL, a son Jeff (Jaruwan) Yesia of Oswego, IL. He was preceded in death by two sisters Helen Madsen and Gladys Hartwell.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 5:00 PM until a funeral service at 7:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL. Military honor will be bestowed after the funeral service at the funeral home.
Private family graveside services will be held at Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
