Walter (Wally) L. Pickens, Jr., age 46, of Oswego, IL, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born August 10, 1968, to Walter L. Pickens, Sr. and Maryann Mateas. He married Sandra Gaffga on May 3, 1997 in Aurora, IL. They were blessed with three beautiful children Austin, Taylor and Maxwell. Wally worked for Oberweis Dairy as a home delivery driver until he went into management. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Tennessee Titans. He is survived by his wife Sandra Pickens of Oswego, IL, children Austin, Taylor and Maxwell Pickens, father Walter L. (Kathy) Pickens Sr., mother Maryann Mateas, sister Sherri (Bob) Jerrick of Steelville, MO, grandmother Charlene Pickens of FL, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Virgil Lee Pickens, and Carl & Edyth Mateas. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on February 21, 2015 from 11am - 2pm at VFW Hall, Post 7452 located in Montgomery, IL.
