Venancia "Avi" Gamboa went home to be with her heavenly father on June 6, 2023. She passed surrounded by her loved ones, in her home in Aurora, IL. Venancia was born March 6, 1933 and raised in Los Pinos, Durango, Mexico. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She lived a life with a heart full of love for all her family and has now joined her husband, Francisco Gamboa, and her son, Luis Antonio, in heaven. She will be greatly missed and leaves behind her six children Velia (Luis) Cervantes, Socorro (Jose) Ramirez, Rosa Maria (Jesus Jaime) Jaquez, Juan Francisco (Maria) Gamboa, Florinda (Rene) Gonzalez and Maricela (Gilberto) Cervantes.

She provided unconditional love to her twelve grandchildren Jaime (Berenice) Jaquez, Aracely Ramirez, Luis Miguel Cervantes, Dolores (Martel) Jaquez, Luis Ramirez, Nancy (Luis Fernando) Medrano, Marlynn Gonzalez, Junelly Gonzalez, Judith (Dylan) Cervantes, Gilberto Cervantes, LuisRene Gonzalez and Emmanuel Gonzalez. She enjoyed being around the laughter and love of her nine great-grandchildren Eliza, Ruben, Audrey, Iris, Ivy, Nicolas, Javier, Adrian and Kameela.

Her life devotion was to the Catholic church and her passion was singing in the choir every Sunday mass. She came from Mexico to Aurora, IL in 1990 where she lived and worked at Aurora Cord and Cable for 8 years until she retired. She devoted her entire life to raising and caring for her family and friends around her.

Visitation for Ms. Venancia Gamboa will begin at 3 PM on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Dunn Family Funeral Home, 1801 S Douglas Road, Oswego, IL, 60543. The visitation is scheduled from 3PM to 7 PM.

Family and friends will unite at a later date for her funeral in Los Pinos, Durango, Mexico, where her body will be laid to rest.
