Ulises Avitia-Herrera, 35, of Aurora, IL died peacefully on his sleep Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born July 3, 1989 in Mexico.

He was a special person and a beautiful soul, who liked to listen to music, learn about cars and play video games. He loved taking care of his nieces and nephews as well. He will be missed by all his family, friends and community.

Ulises attended Waldo Jr. High School and East Aurora High Schools in Aurora, IL. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Aurora, IL.

He is survived by his mother Monserrat Avitia, five sisters Dora Avitia, Cynthia Avitia, Sara Avitia, Betzaida Avitia, Yeihry Avitia, a brother Jose Luis Avitia, and his nephews Luis, Sebastian, Josue, Adrian, and nieces Irizel, Kamyla, and Elaine. He was preceded in death by his father Luis Avitia.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, IL. Cremation will take place at American Crematory in Oswego, IL.
