It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden death of Toby Gene Ray, 52, on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Marion County, FL.
Toby is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Julie Renee Denman Ray. They were married in Bridgeview, IL on August 18, 2000.
Toby is lovingly remembered by his wife Julie, children, Ashlea Noel (Don-e) Santangelo, Carlie Faith Ray, and Spencer Gene Ray. His father Billy Gene Ray (Cindy), stepmother Linda Christian, sisters Sharon (Rob) Somerville, Shelly (Bill) White, Sheila Ray, and brother Chuck (Mary) Beasley.
Toby is preceded in death by his mother Pamela Sue Clark Ray.
Visitation will take place at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL on Friday November 17, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A celebration of life will be held at Harvest New Beginnings Church 5315 Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11:00 am. Cremation will take place at American Crematory in Oswego, IL.

Toby was born in Evergreen Park, IL on February 27, 1965. He had been a truck driver for 30+ years. He loved football, fishing, camping with family, riding his Harley, spending time with family and friends playing games, telling stories, and laughing. He loved to laugh and always had a smile for everyone. Toby was part of a large loving family. Also, was a member of Harvest New Beginnings Church and was active in the Men's group, helped with parking and teaching the 5 year old Sunday school class with his wife.
