OSWEGO – Timothy Jon Staffeldt, age 40, of Oswego, IL passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2023 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born November 6, 1982 in Aurora, IL, and was the first son of Tim and Linda Staffeldt.

Timmy completed his education through the Oswego school system, graduating from Oswego High School, Class of 2001. He played football all four years and was the Team Captain and All-State recipient his senior year, still holding records at OHS. Timmy went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Special Education from Millikin University in 2006 while playing football all four years. His love for football was a huge part of his life which lead him to become a passionate teacher and coach within the area for the following 12 years. He dedicated himself to helping all of his students learn key life lessons about the value of determination and hard work. Outside of that, Timmy loved vacationing in Wisconsin where he enjoyed quality time hunting, fishing, and boating with his family and friends.

However, Timmy's greatest responsibility and reward in his life were his two beautiful daughters, Payton Staffeldt, age 11, and Kaylin Staffeldt, age 6. He believed in them and loved them with his whole heart and treasured watching the world through their eyes. We pray they can still feel the love of their father each and every day.

He is survived by his two daughters, Payton and Kaylin Staffeldt, his parents, Tim and Linda (Baker) Staffeldt, his younger brother Sean (Amy) Staffeldt, his niece and nephew, Leah and Caleb Staffeldt, his aunts and uncles, William and Susan Baker, Richard and Karen Brawner, Jon and Debbie Staffeldt, his cousins William (Allison) Baker II, Heidi (Michael K.) Baker, Hannah (Steven) Greenwood, Maggie Brawner, Benjamin Brawner, Robin (Dusten N.) Staffeldt, Benjamin (Sara) Staffeldt; further survived by numerous extended family members and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Janice (Hinds) Baker and Delbert and Myrtle (Orr) Staffeldt.

Timmy's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 24th from 2:00 - 7:00 PM throughout the evening as we cheer on his cherished Chicago Bears football team at Roadhouse 71, 4571 IL-71, Oswego, IL 60543. All are welcome and encouraged to stop by for a drink and to share memories of Timmy.
