Thomas M Stoneberg, age 85, of Yorkville, IL died Monday, July 23, 2018 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born June 25, 1933 in Aurora, IL.
Tom served his country honorably with the US Army and proudly displayed the US flag at his home. He was a member of St Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL, Illinois Railway Museum in Union, IL (Where he assisted in rebuilding some of the steam engines on display). He was the plant superintendent for over 25 years at Mississippi Structural Steel in Aurora, IL.
Tom is survived by his wife Marianne nee Forss Stoneberg, his children Fr. Jeff Stoneberg of Lombard, IL, Lori (Dan) Patterman of Valparaiso, IN, Dan Stoneberg of Crown Point, IN, Ron Stoneberg of Oswego, IL, Nancy (Jeff) Baumet of Aurora, IL, Linda (Bob) Saelens of Dundee, IL, Karen (Mike) Ferguson of Plainfield, IL, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a sister Janice Tater of TX. He was preceded in death by his parents John M and Berniece nee Schoger Stoneberg and a brother Bob Stoneberg.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St Anne Catholic Church 551 Boulder Hill Pass Oswego, IL.
Interment with military honor will take place a Risen Lord Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
