Thelma Zak Moews, age 98 of Oswego, IL. at rest on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Midwest Care Center Hospice-Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL. with her family at her side.

She was born on November 27, 1924, in Shelton, CT., the daughter of the late Joseph and Thelma Kredl Zak. She proudly served her country in the United States Navy 1950-1953 as a Registered Nurse during the Korean Conflict.

Thelma is survived by her son, Dirk D. (Barbara) Moews.

She is preceded by her husband Douglas Holliday Moews (December 19, 2021), sisters Helen Waleski and Ethel Holt.

A Memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road P.O. Box 665 Oswego, IL. 60543.

Inurnment with full military honors under the auspices of the United States Navy and the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Squad at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 W. Hoff Road Elwood, IL. 60421 on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 1:30 P.M.
