Terry Lee Quirin, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Aurora on April 8, 1943, he was adopted at age 4 by Alfred and Phyliss (Platt) Quirin. He was one of two chosen sons they opened their hearts to.
Terry graduated from East Aurora High School class of 1961 and attended North Central College.
He worked for Caterpillar Tractor for 34 years retiring in 2000. He soon found a job he truly loved driving a van and helping in the classroom at People for Child Care in Aurora. Terry worked there for 13 years and will be missed by the many children and families he mentored.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Jacki (Shimp) Quirin, daughter Jenifer (Jamie) Wyeth of Batavia and their children Jake Wyeth, Andy (Molly) Wyeth and Katie Wyeth. His son Jon (Kelly) Quirin of Oswego and their children Danny Quirin, Cody Quirin and Toni Quirin. His good friend Gary (Lori) Dieter, sister in law Peggy Quirin, other family members and many friends.
A special thank you to his caregiver, angel on earth Jodi (Wyeth) Pattermann for loving him and caring for Terry on his final journey.
Terry spent many years at the cottage his father, brother and he built on White Water Lake, Wisc.
Per his wishes, there will be no formal services. He is to be cremated and his ashes spread at the family cottage at a later private celebration of his life.
Memorials in his name may be made to any Hospice Organization, Alzheimers Organization, or the Humane Society.
