Steven Dean Thompson, 54, of Ottawa formerly of Sheridan passed Friday, November 9, 2018 at his home. Steve was born October 4, 1964 in Ottawa to Arden Dean & Joan Marie (Metzer) Thompson. He was a graduate of Serena High School and had worked on many construction jobs, especially as a HVAC Technician. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working in his yard and tinkering on any project. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Thompson of Plainfield; two sisters, Linda (Jonathan) Grey of Earlville, Sherri Farley of Sandwich and his brother, Greg Thompson of Sheridan. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 – noon followed by a memorial service on Saturday, November 17th with Pastor Richard Fassig officiating at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. 333 W.
