Colin Todd Spencer, Sr., 71 years, of Oswego, IL died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL. He was born February 1, 1943 in Jolley, IA. Prior to his retirement he worked as an IBEW electrician 30+ years of that career with Frost Electric in Aurora, IL. He served his country honorably with the US Navy, Seabees, during Viet Nam Conflict. He was a very active member and Past Commander of the local and county post of the Oswego American Legion Post #675, a life member and Past President of the Fox Valley Trail Riders, Green River Saddle Club of Amboy, IL. Formerly a member and past treasurer of the Irish Water Spaniel Club of America and a member of the Fox Valley Dog Club. Colin is survived by his wife Kathy nee Curran Spencer, a daughter Heather (Tim) Urban of Cedar Park, TX, two grandchildren Karl and Joseph Spencer; his father Lloyd Spencer, Sr of Yorkville, IL, two sisters Vera (William) Murphy of Rock Rapids, IA, Dauna (Edward) Boon of Yorkville, IL, a brother Bobbie (Suzanne) Spencer of Bristol, IL, also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Colin T Spencer, Jr, mother Mildred Spencer and brother Lloyd Spencer, Jr. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Rd Oswego, IL. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded the wish of the family followed by burial at Risen Lord Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
