Shirley M. (Beatus) Miller, 91, of Oswego, IL, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility in Naperville. She was born August 19, 1929 in Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of the late Lou P. and Bertha L. nee Moore Beatus. Shirley attended West Aurora Schools and married Paul Miller in 1946. She and Paul had 51 happy years together until his death in 1998. Shirley and Paul were blessed with two children, Danny and Pamela. She was a member of the Oswego Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, a Gold Star member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 675 of Oswego for over 60 years, and the Nineteenth Century Woman's Club of Oswego, IL. Shirley enjoyed working in her yard, taking care of the many flowers that she planted there. She also enjoyed 8 years of traveling with her dear friend Theodore Gerry. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Pamela Miller of Oswego; her son, Dan (Maria) Miller of Roselle, IL; her grandchildren: Derek (Christine) Miller of Naperville, IL, Adam (Sara) Miller of Chicago, IL, Mallory (Nic) Mazza of Palatine, IL, and Emily (Joe) Molter of South Elgin, IL; her great grandchildren: Inde, Paul, Kai, Dani, Luc, Sam, Alenna, Nova and Jack; her sister-in-law, Alice Beatus of North Aurora, IL; several nieces and nephews; and the family of her very special friend, the late Ted Gerry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents; three sisters: Edna, Frances and Betty; three brothers: Joseph, Ralph and Lou P. "Duke"; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Cliff and Marilyn. Memorial contributions in Shirley's name may be made to Oswego Presbyterian Church, 1976 Rt. 25, Oswego, IL 60543.
