Sharon M. Swanson of Oswego, IL, age 69, was called home suddenly to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora.
She was born in Aurora, IL, on October 19, 1952, the daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn (Aylesworth) Halstead, whom she always called God's first and greatest gifts to her, besides His Son Jesus Christ.
Her greatest joy and devotion in life was her family.
She was a fifth-generation seamstress and tailor. She worked for the last 29 years of her career as a seamstress at Wolsfelt's Bridal, and, during that time, she made countless brides very happy.
She always knew the right thing to say at the right time, and her sound, Biblical advice and unconditional love and care for her family will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years John Swanson, her devoted daughter Sharon Swanson, her sister Geraldine (Richard) Collins, her sister-in-law Linda (Dan) Cannizzo, her nieces and nephews Mike (Brenda) White, Steve (Bella) White, Rick (Tina) Collins, Tom (Kendra) Bendak, Kristina (Ed) Romero, and Tara (Branden) Topolski, many great nieces and nephews, and her best friends Carol Wilbanks and Linda Baldwin.
She was preceded to heaven by her parents Raymond and Evelyn Halstead, her brother Russell Halstead, her father and mother-in-law Albert and Signe Swanson, her sister-in-law Sharon Baker, and her niece Heather Wagner.
