Sharon Marie Fancher, 76, of Sheridan passed Tuesday afternoon, July 21, 2015 at her home. Sharon was born March 9, 1939 in Chicago to Weston Everett & Ona Isabelle (Tuntland) Fruland. She had been secretary at the Sheridan Correctional Center for 28 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Fox River Lutheran Church and had served as secretary for the Sheridan United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Kevin (Laura) Hunt of Highland, TX; her two daughters, Kerrijo Hunt of Lafayette, CO., Kelly Hunt of Sheridan; four grandchildren, Casey Futrell, Courtney (Logan) Futrell, Amanda Hunt, Weston Hunt ; four great grandchildren, Kalynn Moore, Kyle Moore, Luke Watkins and Killian Neely. She was preceded in death by her parents. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 25th from 10:00 a.m. until noon with funeral services at noon at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. In Sheridan. Pastor Kevin Garner of the Fox River Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be at the Norway Cemetery.
