Sean David Buchanan, age 38, of Montgomery, IL, passed away on July 13, 2017.  He was born August 9, 1978 in St. Charles, IL, the son of David Buchanan and Deborah Peterson. Sean was a loving and devoted father to his six children. He had a rare capacity to nurture them.  His children knew he was always there for them, and the way they adored him was a testament to the unique and special father he was. He was a master carpenter and worked for over 10 years with Artisan Custom Carpentry in Oswego, IL.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  In his spare time, Sean enjoyed using his creativity in woodworking and making furniture.   Sean was empathic, with a great ability to understand people's emotions and help them navigate challenging life events with great compassion. He is survived by his father David (Debbie) of Montgomery, IL, mother Deborah Peterson of Sandwich, IL, children Phoenix, Alissa, Cadence, Sariah, Kamden and Leighton Buchanan all of Montgomery, sister Amanda Buchanan of WI, maternal grandmother Joan Johnson of Oregon and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather John Walter Johnson and paternal grandparents Carlos Buchanan and Eunice Detzler. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 4:00 PM until a funeral service at 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S.
