Sandra Marie Taft, 73, of Oswego, passed away at her home on November 5, 2021 with her family by her side. Born in Aurora, IL, in 1948 to Clarence and Dorothy Peterson, Sandra married Allen Taft on August 31, 1968. Sandra was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Oswego and the Oswego Women's Civic Club, and retired after 25 years as the office manager at River Heights Veterinary Clinic. She cherished spending time with her family, and enjoyed hosting Sunday Dinners for them. She loved cooking and baking, and particularly enjoyed making beautiful wedding cakes. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Allen; her children, Andrea Burnette and Aaron (Janet) Taft; and her grandchildren, Theodora, Steve, Apollonia, Nickolette, Dylan, and Andrew. Also surviving are her sisters Darlene (Michael) Byrne and Gail McKiness, Janet (Steven) Mealman and her brother David (Patricia) Peterson. Preceding her in death are her parents, Clarence and Dorothy, and her great grandson, Morgan. A memorial service celebrating Sandra's life will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL 65043. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on November 13, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543.
