Sally S. Scheef, age 82, of Aurora, IL peacefully passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born August 11, 1938 in Pontiac, IL, the daughter of George W. and Nora nee Radloff Scheef. Sally graduated from Pontiac High School. She earned her undergraduate degree in English from Illinois State University and her M.A. in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder, CO. Sally taught English, Science Fiction Literature and Speech at West Aurora High School in Aurora, IL until her retirement in 1998. Sally loved to travel and vacationed all over the world. She was a lover of Star Trek, aircraft, fishing and plays. Her friends were delighted by her quick wit and great sense of humor. Sally is deeply mourned by her friends in Beta Sigma Phi, and her friend Sandi (Dale) Christianson, a close friend of over 65 years. Also missing Sally are her West Aurora School District 129 coworkers. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John E. Scheef.
