Sally Louise Holsinger (Sipes), 61, passed away on January 25th, 2023, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She passed peacefully at her home with her loving husband, best friend and love of her life at her side.

Sally was born November 7th, 1961, in Huntington Beach CA and grew up in Dyer, Indiana. After graduating from Lake County High School in 1980, she went to work for Sargent & Lundy Engineers in Chicago as an administrative assistant. She met her husband Kurt in 1982 beside an elevator, introduced by a mutual friend. They shared their first meal together on the steps of the Art Institute by the famous Lions on a beautiful and bright autumn day.

Sally and Kurt married in 1984 and after moving about for a few years settled down in Montgomery on Boulder Hill to make their home and raise their family. Sally loved being a mom and a homemaker, loved to cook and most of all loved to work in her yard and garden until the progression of her disease robbed her of these joys in her last years.

Sally was preceded in death by her father G Lee Sipes, her mother Florence Sipes (née Jacubczek) and her beloved older brother Randall Sipes. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Kurt, her daughter Alyssa of Yorkville, IL, and her son Britton of Moscow, ID.

There will be a private Life Celebration come Spring when Sally's flowers bloom.
