Sallie L. Mitchell, age 92, formerly of Oswego, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Garlands of Barrington in Barrington, IL. She was born January 18, 1929 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Paul and Vivien nee Williams Huston. After her retirement from teaching, Sallie spent her retirement actively volunteering and caring for others. She was a member of the PEO sisterhood. She is survived by her children Marilyn (Eric Collins) Mitchell of Poplar Grove, IL, Joel A. (Alain Pucci) Mitchell of France, Paul Moldenhauer of Kokomo, IN, grandchildren Jessica (Joseph) Fabal of Chicago, IL, Oliva Cucco of Chicago, IL, great-grandchildren Zoë Fabal and Clara Fabal. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James R. Mitchell, son Mark H. Mitchell, sisters Bettie Wienbarg and Vivien Olson, brother Bob Huston, niece Marsha Everhart and nephew Craig Olson. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19 from 12:00 PM (Noon) until a funeral service at 1:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
