David 'Mike' Rutherford, 54 years, of Montgomery, IL died suddenly on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 30, 1959 in Aurora, IL the son of the late Paul Rutherford and Mary A. nee Gray Godbey. Mike had been employed as a truck driver for 17 years and prior to his retirement he was employed for seven years by Ruan Transportation of Des Moines, IA delivering batteries out of Johnson Controls in Geneva, IL. Mike is survived by his wife of 28 years Suzanne C nee Orr Rutherford, two daughters Trisha (Frank) Rutherford of Chicago, IL, Courtny Rutherford of Montgomery, IL , a son Christian Rutherford at home, two sisters Teena (Calvin) Powell of Pontotoc, MS, Terri Rutherford of Dwight, IL, three brothers Alan (Sandra) Rutherford of Oswego, IL, Paul (Terri) Rutherford of Lawton, OK, Roland (Carol) Rutherford of Montgomery, IL, two brothers in law Mark (Debbie) Orr of Aurora, IL, Bill Orr of Aurora, IL, one sister in law Becky (Rich) of Kennesaw, GA, several nieces, nephews and his mother-in-law Catherine Orr of Aurora, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law James Orr. A memorial service will be held at the Warehouse Church 308 East Galena Blvd Aurora, IL, February 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
