Ruth H Weidert, age 100, of Oswego, IL died Monday, December 25, 2017 at her home. She was born January 31, 1917 in Canada to the late Walter E and M Evelyn (nee Carr) Manning. Ruth was a long time member of the Oswego Presbyterian Church, teaching Sunday school and serving as an Elder. She was an avid gardener---sharing her flowers with many friends and family. Ruth is survived by four daughters Patricia Turner of Rochelle, IL, Audrey Otto of Yorkville, IL, Andrea (Richard) Carlson of Montgomery, IL, Connie Moisson of Oswego, IL, a son Gerald (Betty) Weidert of Oswego, IL, eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward A Weidert, infant son Allan Lee Weidert, three son-in-law's Russell Turner, David Otto and Rene Moisson. Visitation will be on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 2:00 PM until the funeral service at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Betty Weidert officiating, at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Cremation will follow. Due to family allergies, we ask that people refrain from wearing anything scented to visitation and the funeral.
