Ruth Ellen Lowers, 82, of Sheridan, IL passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 20, 1938 in Miller Township, IL the daughter of the late Masten Cicero and Doris Evelyn nee Fewell Richmond. Ruth was a member of the Class of 1956 of Serena High School, graduated also from the LaSalle Cosmetology School, LaSalle, IL, Starved Rock Hairdressers Association and the Community of Christ Church in Marseilles, IL. She was the owner/operator of Ruthie's Beauty Shop in her home for many years prior to retirement. Survivors include her husband James Leon Lowers, whom she married April 1, 1972 in rural Marseilles, IL., daughter Teresa Smith, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Karen Lowers, son David Futrell and brother Ronald Richmond.
