Ronald Alan Blue, 67, of Millington passed Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Valley West Community Hospital. Ron was born October 31, 1948 in Sandwich to Estes & Beulah (Johnson) Blue. He married Janet Luther July 26, 1969 at the Millington United Methodist Church. He had retired in 2000 after 33 years working at the Caterpillar Tractor Co. as a forklift driver and in the tool warehouse. He was a member of the Millington United Methodist Church and was a trustee for the Millington-Newark Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Blue; his son, Brian (Sabrina) Blue of Millington; four grandchildren, Tabitha (fiancé Austin Hellyer, Jade Blue, Alexis Blue, Blake Blue; a great granddaughter, Grace Hellyer all of Millington; a sister, Sharon (Lewis) Hilliard of Sandwich; a brother in-law, Lloyd (Muriel) Luther of Cortland and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd, 102 S. Johnson St., Newark, IL. 60541-0623.
