Roger D. Light, age 80, of Aurora, IL died Friday, February 6, 2015 at Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born March 28, 1934 in Aurora, IL to Raymond and Olive nee Hansen Light. Roger was the owner and operator of Light Jewelers, creating custom jewelry for forty-five years. After retiring, he pursued his passion for wood carving. He was a member of the Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aurora, IL. Roger is survived by his wife Delores "Dee" Fredricksen Light of Aurora, IL, children Roger (fiancé Kristin Hildebrand) Light of Stephenson, MI, Terry (Mary) Light of Grantsburg, IL, Robbin (Dale) Darby of Sandwich, IL, Lark Willmann of Oswego, IL, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters Inga Rae (Bob) Hanson of Normal, IL, Charlene Henderson of Sun Lakes, AZ, Nancy (Lenny) Freberg of Blountville, TN and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Dolores Inck and Judy Gengler. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home and burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bristol, IL.
