Roger W. Forth, 78, of Sheridan died Friday, April 17, 2015 at his home. Roger was born March 18, 1937 in Marseilles to Edmond & Ethel (Nelson) Forth. He married Deanna Marie Phillips September 8, 1957 in Sheridan. Deanna passed October 8, 2014. He had traveled the country extensively for 19 years as a photographer for the International Harvester Co. and then he worked for 25 years as a maintenance engineer at the Sheridan Correctional Center. He had served as a trustee for the Village of Sheridan and a board member of the Sheridan Grade School. He is survived by his two daughters, Cathy Wiley of Sheridan, Cindy Fourth of Ottawa; his granddaughter, Erin (John) Anderson of Serena; his great granddaughter, Payton Anderson of Serena; two brothers, LeRoy (Dorothy) Forth of San Diego, CA. and Jerry (Juanita) Forth of Sheridan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Deanna; a brother, Jack Lee Forth; a son in-law, Paul Wiley and a granddaughter, Jamie Jo Wiley. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. – noon Tuesday, April 21st at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. In Sheridan. According to Roger's wishes cremation services were conducted and he will be inurned with Deanna on a later date at the Sheridan Cemetery.
