Rodney H. Morgan, age 72, of River Grove, IL, peacefully passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Accentcare & Hospice in Naperville, IL.

He was born May 17, 1952 in Canton, IL, the son of Robert D. and Norma J. nee Waughtel Morgan.

Rodney proudly served his country in the US Army from 1969 to 1972. After his honorable discharge from the military, he was employed with Union Pacific Railroad for 41 years of loyal service. In his spare time you could find him on the golf course, always improving his game. He was a true Chicago sports fan cheering on the Cubs and Bears.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn nee Crego Morgan, children Amber (Greg) Pattalio, Ashly Pattalio, Craig Mallman, Katie Mallman, grandchildren Gianna, Vincent, Adriana, Stella, Priscilla, great-granddaughter Alani, brother Michael (Robin) Morgan, three nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, from 12:00 PM (Noon) until a funeral service with military honors at 3:30 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
