In Loving Memory of Rocelle G. Hearing

August 16, 1978 – July 20, 2025

Our beloved Rocelle G. Hearing, age 46, of Oswego, IL, peacefully gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, following a courageous battle with leukemia.

Born on August 16, 1978, in the Philippines, Rocelle—affectionately known as "RC" by her family and friends—was a devoted mother, loving daughter, loyal sister, and a treasured friend to many. Her warm spirit, unwavering strength, and deep compassion touched countless lives.

A dedicated educator for more than two decades, RC most recently served as a faculty member at Thompson Junior High School in Oswego, IL, where she inspired students and colleagues alike with her passion for teaching and her kind heart.

RC is survived by her cherished twins, Cemantha Macy and Carter Matthew Hearing; her loving mother, Cecilia Gaspar; her brother Rommel Gaspar and his wife January; her niece Roxanne Gaspar; nephews Raymond and Jaxson Gaspar; her in-laws Gary and Karen Hearing; and her significant other, John Dent and his mom, Caroline. She was preceded in death by her father, Rodolfo Gaspar.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 31,, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, August 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. Cremation will take place after the funeral service.
