Roberto G. Flores, Sr., 77, went on to be with The Lord on July 9, 2016 in Naperville, IL. He was born April 18, 1939 in Pharr, Texas to the late Alejandro and Maria Guzman Flores. Roberto married Emilia A. Hernandez on January 1, 1958 in Alamo, Texas. He worked for many years at General Mills as a forklift driver as well as a singer for the conjunto Los Originales de West Chicago. A farewell to our Dad, Jefe, Viejo, Pimpa, Black Man, Mr. Flores, Beto, and Best Friend. Our answers for you today, and it hurts us just as much as it gives us Joy to say is this. Where are you Dad? Well you are In Heaven! Next question you always had was, "Is Social Security taking care of me?" Of course not! God is in control Dad. You don't need money in heaven. You were probably "surprised" to be greeted by all your brothers and sister. You are finally reunited with Marina and Roel and all the family and friends that you didn't know had already gone before you. We're at Peace that you've left us and are no longer in pain. Being at peace doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt, but, Dad, our Peace, which comes from God, will eventually overcome our hurt. All Thanks be to God. He is survived by his wife Emilia; children Alejandro Flores, Roberto Flores, Jr., Imelda (Rafael) Martinez, Rogelio Flores, Jose Flores; 18 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Roberto is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Marina Flores; son Roel Flores; brothers Guadalupe Flores, Rudolfo Flores, Juan F. Flores; and sister Rosario Garces. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, IL, 60543. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville, IL, 60563.
