It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Roberto Duran on December 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his residence. Roberto was born December 6, 1943, in Mexico the son of Susano and Martina nee Castillo Duran. Roberto married his loving wife on June 6, 1971, and together they have raised a beautiful family while residing in Oswego, Illinois.

Roberto is survived by his wife Afra nee Covarrubias Duran, two daughters and two sons. Sandra Duran, Roberto Jr. (Irma) Duran, Israel (Janeth) Duran, and Magaly (Ramses) Torres. Grandchildren Jhon Barajas, Samuel Barajas, Sebastean Duran, Ramses Torres, Alexa Torres, Maximiliano Torres, Valeria Duran, Victoria Duran, and Israel Alejandro Duran.

With deep love and gratitude, we say goodbye to a great man: a loving father, a devoted husband, and a tender grandfather. He was always thoughtful, joyful, and trustworthy, with a generous heart that never turned away those who needed support or shelter. He was a hardworking, responsible, and conscientious man, who was loved and respected by many.

To his wife, children, and grandchildren his love was an immense gift that will live forever in their hearts. May he rest in peace. His love and kindness will remain with his family and all who knew him always.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. until funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, IL 60543. Cremation rights will be accorded.
