IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roberto (Bobby) C.
Flores
November 20, 1973 – July 26, 2025
Roberto "Bobby" Flores, age 51, of Oswego, IL, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and firefighter brothers by his side.
Born on November 20, 1973, in Aurora, IL, Bobby was the beloved son of Roberto Flores Sr. and the late Micaela Corral Flores. He was a devoted husband to Luz Flores and a deeply loving father to his children, for whom he lived with purpose and joy.
Bobby cherished life's simple pleasures—spontaneous road trips, being outdoors, biking, and above all, making memories with family and friends. His guiding words, "no worry, no problem," reflected the faith and peace with which he lived. He had a gift for making others laugh, bringing people together, and showing love in both big and small ways.
He was a natural protector, always ready to step in when someone needed comfort, encouragement, or a helping hand
Bobby's life was one of service. He was a dedicated firefighter with the Montgomery and Countryside Fire Protection District, Wheaton Fire Department, and Oswego Fire Protection District. Even after cancer forced him to retire, his spirit remained strong, never complaining despite his pain.
His courage, generosity, and unwavering love for others live on in the many lives he touched—especially his children. Bobby taught us to treasure the present, love deeply, and find joy in every moment. Though we grieve his passing, we give thanks for the time we had with him. May we honor his legacy by embracing life as he did—with faith, laughter, and love.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Luz Flores, and their three cherished children: Alyssa Corral, Logan L. Flores, and Gabriel R. Flores. He is also survived by his siblings Yakim (Montserrat) Flores, Ruth (Octavio) Corral, and Dimas Flores; his in-laws Maria (Jesus) Carrera, Maria (Alex) Villa, and Silvia (Chris Curry) Corral; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends.
