Robert M Weltlich, age 80, of Oswego, IL formerly of Chicago, IL died Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. He was born July 12, 1945, in Chicago, IL the son of the late Erhard and Edna Ruth nee Storms Weltlich.

He served his country honorably with the US Navy, of which he was extremely proud. He was a member of St Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL.

Survivors include his wife Gloria R nee Phillips Weltlich, four sons Steven (Melissa) Weltlich, Michael (Shannon) Weltlich, Jason (Sarah Charney) Weltlich, Daniel (Sonia) Weltlich, four grandchildren River, Sarah, Alyssa, and Tiffany. Beloved by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers William and Paul Weltlich.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with a liturgical wake service during those hours, at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, IL. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from the funeral home at 9:30 AM to St Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego IL for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian burial. Interment with military honors will follow at Risen Lord Cemetery, 1501 Simons Road, Oswego, IL.
