Robert G. (Bob) Tate, formerly of Hermitage, Pa. and Greenville, Pa. died after an extended Illinois on Wednesday (1-20-16) in Aurora, Illinois. Mr. Tate was born July 5, 1935 in Sharon, Pa. to Albert and Katherine (Tate) Brinkley. He was a graduate of Hickory High School. Mr. Tate had a long career with GATX Corporation working in Sharon, Pa. and East Chicago, In. where he held several positions including production and maintenance foreman roles. Bob was an avid outdoorsman – enjoying hunting and fishing. He also was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his children and their families. Surviving are: two daughters, Jean Gianoni and her husband Robert of Moon , Pa.; Veronica Menster and her husband Robert of Plainfield, IL; one son, Robert Tate II of Hobart, In.;3 grandchildren, Shannon Gianoni; Brandon Gianoni; Robert Tate III; and one brother, Albert (Butch) Tate and his wife Gerry of Hermitage, Pa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean (Deneen) Tate whom he married on September 19, 1955: and his parents.
