Robert A. Mandat, age 80, of Montgomery, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Season's Hospice of Naperville, IL. He was born November 12, 1936 in Chicago, IL the son of William and Evelyn nee Morency Mandat. Robert was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. He was a truck driver for over 35 years with McCook Drum and Barrel Company in McCook, IL. He enjoyed bowling, NASCAR races and fishing at his cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He is survived by his children Ken (Sonya) Mandat of Maple Park, IL, Theresa (Glenn) Vanek of Plainfield, IL, Danny Mandat of Maple Park, IL, grandchildren Sarah & Nathanial Mandat both of Maple Park, IL, Nicholas & Matthew Vanek both of Plainfield, IL, brother Howard (Mary) Mandat of Garland, TX, sister-in-law Mary Mandat of Rosemont, IL, nieces Debbie (Russ) Davis of Garland, TX, Kim (Marcin) Scislowicz of Chicago, IL, and a nephew Steve (Linda) Mandat of Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Estelle, son Robert (Sue) Jr. and a brother William Mandat, and sister-in-law Elanor Wrablik. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543.
