It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert P. Burch who left this world on December 28, 2025, at the age of 87. Robert was born on August 19, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, to Frances Diangello. He dedicated his life to his family, his work, and his many passions, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.
In his personal life, Robert was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Evelina (nee Campanaro), and their children: Robert J. (Marisa) Burch, DeAnna (Vince) Zaccardi, Frank Burch, and Jeffery (Leann) Burch. He cherished his role as a grandfather to his grandchildren Noah, Mason, Bennett, Molly, Madison, Reagan, Bear, Jordan, and Jude, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Robert was also a treasured brother-in-law, uncle, and great uncle to many.
Robert proudly served in the United States Air Force, embodying the values of duty and honor.
Robert had a wide array of interests that brought him joy and fulfillment. He was an avid fisherman, often spending tranquil days by the water, and he had a keen eye for photography, capturing the beauty of the world around him. His talent in woodworking allowed him to create lasting pieces that his family treasures to this day. A lover of music, Robert played the organ and baritone. Additionally, he had a passion for calligraphy, an art that showcased his attention to detail and creativity.
Robert was a man of many talents and interests, and his warmth and humor touched the lives of everyone he met. His unwavering love for his family and friends was evident in everything he did.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 02, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 03, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. Following the Mass family and friends may meet at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (Main Gate)1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, IL for a 12:15 PM committal.
