Robert "Bob" Heggeland, 63, of Plainfield, Illinois passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 7, 1959, to Jack and Eleanor Heggeland (McConnochie).

Bob founded Wheaton Associates, now in Oswego, Illinois 39 years ago. His career was in architectural woodworking from drawing up a design to manufacturing and installing the final products in businesses throughout several states, along with home interior millwork. Bob grew up on the hockey rink, spent his summers on the golf course, was a creative person in his work, loved music and was a drummer for many years in his church worship band. He had a passion for life, a great sense of humor that made everyone laugh, and recently began brewing his own beer which he liked to sample often.

Bob grew up in Lisle, Illinois where he met the love of his life, Debi, on a school bus in high school. They dated for 5 years and spent the next 41 years of their married life having fun, laughing and taking trips.

Bob is survived by his wife Debi, his parents Jack Heggeland and Eleanor Heggeland, his mother-in-law Patricia Hawkins, his sister Vicki (Bob) Rolewicz, his sister Susan (Michelle Panicola) Heggeland, his brother John (Sally) Heggeland, and nieces and nephews: Heather, Jeremy, Erica, Annie & Emily.

Bob came from a large family including step-brothers: Larry Martin, Tom (Chris) Martin, Paul (Kathy) Martin, Tim (Tracy) Martin, and step-sister Melissa (B.J.) Radek, along with many more nieces & nephews.

A gathering will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Crossroads Community Church, 3003 S. Eola Rd., Aurora, Illinois. Visitation will be from 9:30am-11:15am with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:30am.

Bob will be truly missed by his wife, family, many friends and business associates.
