Richard C. Moore, know as "Sam" to those who knew him. Age 91, at rest January 14, 2025, at Jennings Terrace, Aurora, IL.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York August 23, 1933, the son of the late Charles and Jennie (nee Tichio) Moore. After graduating from New Utrecht High School in June 1951 he began a 38-year career with The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, spending 15 years at the Aurora Service Center and retired in June 1989.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog Tawny.

After retirement he lived in Hawaii and various places in the Fox Valley area, the last 23 years of which were in Oswego. His fondness for "Old Stuff" led to his working in the Oswego Antique Market and helping with many estates sales.

He is survived by distant cousins and his many close friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY.
