Richard H. Lange, 75 of Yorkville, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 in DeKalb, IL. He was born July 24, 1940, the son of Howard and Elizabeth Lange nee Parkhurst. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Antietam and was stationed in Pensacola, FL. Richard married Sandra Richardson August 4, 1962 in Aurora, IL. He also worked as a machinist for Caterpillar retiring in 2001. Richard was very handy around his home and enjoyed working in his yard. He could build anything. Richard is survived by his wife Sandra, four children Beverly (Ron) Bennett, Alan (Diane) Lange, Suzan (Richard) Barnes, and Kevin Lange; six grandchildren Lyndsay Kelly, Aaron, Janna, Joshua, Christopher; four great-grandchildren Noah, Danileigh, Bradlee, and Henry; two sisters Beverly Young and Debra Walker; two brothers Gary (Sandy) Lange and Brian Lange; sister-in-law Jacquie Phalen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and two nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 4 – 8 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL 60543. Funeral service will be Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org. Burial will be at Cowdrey Cemetery in Yorkville, IL.
