Richard Hayes Joseph died unexpectedly at his home in Ottawa, IL, on September 25, 2024.

Ricky is survived by his siblings Betty Allway (Jerry), Pam Larson (Gordon), Don Joseph (Tina), Sandi Knotts Crawford (Levi), Debi Kermeen (Marty), and Margie Joseph, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Billie Joseph Lawson; father, Donald T Joseph; siblings, Marilyn Newton Pipes, Ken Joseph (Ann); Robbie Joseph; and brother-in-law, J.C. Knotts Jr.

Ricky was born on December 9, 1953, in Aurora, IL. He graduated from East Aurora High School in 1972. Rick has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in adolescent psychology. He worked as a school psychologist and retired from the Chicago Public Schools. Ricky loved his cats, fishing, boating, biking, music, and being visited by his family and friends. Holidays held a special place in his heart, and he loved spending time with his family.

A private service is being planned for his family. The family will donate to the Aurora Animal Shelter in Rick's name. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY.
