Richard White Deible, 78, of Oswego, passed away on December 10, 2017 at his home with his loving family. Dick was born in Warren, OH on July 15, 1939 to Newell and Charlotte Deible. Dick graduated from Warren G Harding high school in Warren, OH in 1957. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1961 and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1962. He also earned a M.B.A from Indiana University in 1975. After graduating from Purdue, Dick worked for Lockheed Missile and Space in Sunnyvale, CA before moving to Columbus, IN to work for Cummins Engine Company in 1965. He held several Engineering and Marketing positions at Cummins before he retired after 30 years. After Cummins, Dick was employed at Lovejoy in Downers Grove, IL as a marketing manager before retiring in 2003. Dick enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, playing golf, and working as a ranger at Fox Bend Golf Course in Oswego. Dick enjoyed teaching math classes at Ivy Technical College in Columbus, IN. He was an avid supporter of Junior Achievement in Charleston, SC and volunteered in the classroom and corporate board. He especially enjoyed international travel and was able to travel to many foreign countries with his job at Cummins. Dick was a faithful member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Josephine. His children, Richard White Deible Jr. of Aiken, SC and Christine Deible Wehner of Oswego. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Grace, Molly, and Sean Wehner, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dick is survived by his brother James (Jean) Deible of Frisco, TX. A Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL. Lunch will be served will be served immediately after mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anne's Catholic Church.
