Raymond James Lombardi, age 86, of Aurora, IL, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born June 14, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Henry James and Helen nee Szymczyk Lombardi. Raymond proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953 as an Airman 2nd Class. Following his service, Raymond worked many years as a salesman in the pharmaceutical industry. In his spare time Raymond participated in many community theaters and loved following all Chicago sports teams. His greatest love was his grand and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Beverly, sons James (Kim) Lombardi, Patrick Lombardi, grandchildren Jordan (Ilana) Lombardi, Joseph Lombardi, Maggie (Mark) Elliott and great-granddaughter Eloise Lombardi. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald (Carol) Lombardi.
