Raymond L. Kirk, Jr., age 75, of Montgomery, IL, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 10, 1942 in Providence, RI, the son of Raymond L. Kirk, Sr. and Ethel Deragon Kirk Caron. Raymond proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1960 to 1962 as a Seaman on the USS Independence. He was a 4th degree Knight of the John F. Kennedy Knights of Columbus in Rhode Island. He was a member of the transportation organization Delta Nu Alpha. Prior to his retirement, he was CEO of TRUX Unlimited in Elgin, IL. He was currently a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, IL. He is survived by his wife (whom he married on July 13, 1963 in Warwick, RI) Carol nee GaydaKirk of Montgomery, IL, daughter Karen (Denny) Ehrhart of Oswego, IL, grandchildren Brittney Kirk and Morgan Ehrhart, great-grandchildren Chloe Andre, Isabelle Ray Kirk, Lily Watgen, sister Deborah Caron of NC, brother Robert (Katie) Caron of GA, niece Jessi Caron and nephews Kenny Brown and Chase Caron. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-father Raymond F. Caron and a brother Kenneth G. Kirk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 901 N. Center Street, Plano, IL 60545. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
