Randall " Randy" Suttle, 64, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away at 9:49 a.m. on Friday, January 27th, 2023 at Kishwaukee Hospital in Dekalb, IL.
He was born in Peoria, Illinois on May 11th, 1958 to Lawrence (Larry) Suttle and Pauline Suttle (Barth). He worked over 40 years with Eagle Concrete in Batavia, IL where he began his career as a laborer and retired as a foreman on September 30th, 2020 from the Local 11 Finishers Union. He was a dedicated and hard working cement mason. He had a passion for the outdoors and always embraced the hunting season every Oct 1. He not only had a love for deer hunting but also for anything outdoors, whether it was riding motorcycles or snowmobiles, tending to his 4 acres of land, boating, camping or relaxing in the hammock.
As a young adult, Randy lived in the Aurora, Illinois area where he met his wife Debbie of 40 years. They married April 3rd, 1982 and welcomed their first child, Tabitha in September of that year. 2 years later they welcomed their second child, Randy Jr into the world.
Over the last two years of retirement Randy enjoyed spending time with his beloved 4 year old yellow lab named Bella and 1 1/2 year old shih tzu named Ginger. They enjoyed walks every morning in the rain, snow and sunshine. He also spent many hours in his shop tinkering on different projects, gardening, landscaping and spending time at the Gulf Shores with his wife Debbie. Randy really had a passion and gift for restoring old cars. Some of his most recent restoration projects were of a 67 Camaro and a 74 Cuda. He had a 98 Jeep and a 70 Camaro still in progress at the time of his passing.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Paul Barth, grandmother Lota Lorraine Barth, mother Pauline Cupi and aunt Sandy Maples.
Randy is survived by his wife Debbie, his children Tabitha (Zachary) Jardine and Randy (Jessica) Suttle, his father Larry Suttle, his brother Darryl (Karen) Suttle, his sister Rhonda (Bruce) Davis , his half sister Erin (Brandon) Wilkinson, his half brother's Ian Suttle, Larry (Bo) Jr (Tammie) Suttle, his four grandchildren: Jocelyn, Emersyn, Beckett and Brynnley and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends will be welcomed to attend a celebration of life, on Saturday February 18, 2023 at the Meadowhawk Lodge, 11285 Fox Road, Yorkville, IL from 2 -5 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home and Crematory in Oswego, IL.
