Ramona R. (nee Messing) Plock, age 89 years, of Boulder Hill, Montgomery, IL died Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at her home. She was born September 28, 1932 in Osceola, Nebraska, the daughter of Edward H. and Esther C. (Conway) Messing. She married Robert E. Plock on May 22, 1954 in Columbus, Nebraska. Ramona worked in the office at Clark Lift in Aurora, IL. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, the Fox Country Players, the Oswego Senior Center and she liked to sing in choral groups, volunteered in choir at St. Anne, helped with Meals on Wheels, was an Election Judge, was a member of the Prayer ministry of St. Anne and also St. Anne Council of Catholic Woman. Ramona also had earned an Associates Degree. She is survived by her children, Pamela S. (Russell) Hatcher of League City, TX, Paulette (Curtiss) Jacobsen of Oldsmar, FL, Steven (Jill) Plock of Yorkville, IL, Carolyn (David) Giese of Oswego, IL, Christopher (Bobbitt Wish) of Leland, IL, her grandchildren Melissa (Michael) Huset, Quentin Plock, Jessica (Stephen) Geinosky, Jillian and Justine Plock, Joseph (Jessie) Giese, Thomas (Katelyn) Giese and Michael (Tiffeny) Plock, Shawn (Jeanette) Newlin. She is also survived by her 12 great-grandchildren. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, grandson Micah Plock, 2 sisters Marilyn Westly and Charlotte Messing, 3 brothers Vince Messing, Terry Messing and William Messing. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 9:30 am until 10:30 AM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Aurora, IL.
