Phyllis Myrrl Loescher, 74, of Newark passed suddenly Friday November 11, 2016 at the Rush-Copley Medical Center.
Phyllis was born December 5, 1941 in Sandwich to Verdell M. & Marguerite E. (Sleezer) Williamson. She married Gerald Eugene Loescher April 8, 1962 at the Millington United Methodist Church. Gerald passed June 1, 2006. For 20 years Phyllis loved cooking for all the students she adored at the Newark Grade & High School before retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Millington United Methodist Church, the Mustard Seeds, the Newark Community Club, the Newark Sports Boosters and had been an election judge in Newark for many years. A great joy in her life was being visited by her beloved grandson Gavin.
She is survived by her son, Keith Loescher of Newark; her daughter, Lynn (John Klemm) Storey of Sheridan; her grandson, Gavin Storey; a brother, Lyle (Kathy) Williamson of TX. and a sister, Bernice Brazel of Sycamore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Larry Loescher and Terry Loescher.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15th at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. in Newark. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Millington United Methodist Church with Pastor Kirk Scott officiating. Interment will be at the Millington-Newark Cemetery.
